OK you may have looked through our guide on starting a blog and your options when it comes to were should you start your blog ?.If your reading this post you have choose to go with the free WordPress option.

It is very important to know the difference between Free Wordpress and Self Hosted (Paid) Wordpress before you start.Free Wordpress is limited, in comparison to Self Hosted extremely limited. That said it is just fine for a personal blog but anything else you should look at your options.

Getting started on Wordpress takes just a few minutes.

Let's go ! - First head over to Wordpress.com.

WordPress.com Home Page

Get The Ball Rolling - Click the "Get started" button to start the sign up process.

3. Fill in your details.Email and password we are used to.The username is not really that important however the Blog Address is.

Starting Your Blog On Wordpress.com

Picking Your Blog Address - The Blog address is going to be the URL for your new your, your blogs address on the Internet.Don't confuse this with the name of your blog you can choose and change that separately. You blog address will be whats called a sub-domain of WordPress.Com.For example www.myblog.wordpress.com.

It can be hard to get the address you want most as many have already been taken but I'm sure you will be able to compromise and find something great.

You Now Have A Live Blog - Your Blog Is now created you can set up the look and feel of the blog and start writing the all important first post !
